Among the scenes beamed across the Arab world were a child with the back of its head blown off and bloodied people being treated on the floor of a hospital.
"Did you see all those bombs falling on TV? All the poor people? And for what? America wants to subjugate the entire region for the sake of Israel," said a protester in Cairo, 50-year-old Egyptian housewife Samia.
