At Melody's Pub and Grub in Norwalk, 20 lunch diners sat in front a big-screen TV. Delmar Walker said he didn't understand the protests against the attempt to depose Saddam Hussein.


"I don't see how anybody that knows anything about him at all could feel that way," he said. "I think it's about time we did something. I think it's good we went after him. That man is not any good."


In Red Oak, beautician Sheri Waren watched the coverage in Sheri's Styling Salon.


"You know what I'm thinking as I watch this? Nine-eleven," she said. "Hey, payback's hell."
